Go toward the center while the attack happens; it deals no more damage. Then once it finishes, switch to Headband, and drill Blackbean a few times for much-deserved revenge. There's apparently a way to dodge it, and someone's made a Youtube vid of it, and it inovlves doing a special move, but I don't pull off special moves well.

I had level 4 Vampire hat and I'm not sure what my Headband was but probably level 3. It used all my items, and I was lucky enough to get bats a few times in a row at the end of the fight I can do the first half of the battle just fine and it uses practically no resources, but I find myself in a long and drawn-out duel to see whether I can more successfully dodge most of his crap only for him to Neo Galaxy me or whether I can deplete his HP faster. Getting a friendly monster's help may be useful.

I saw it in someone's strat somewhere on the web; they took Chucky, and so did I. Basically, try dodging everything during his second phase, except when: 1.

Use Chucky and power up your drill and give it some energy oil when this happens. This can deal a ton of damage. Neo Galaxy: watch the minimap to see your position so you can more effectively evade the small bursts. Large burst is pretty much unavoidable. He sits in the center afterwards; take potshots. Probably a bit less useful but sitll useful may be the vampire hat which lets you regain health on any hit at level 5.

But yeah, I'm not sure why beating Blackbean gives the better ending. I checked YouTube. Apparently it's possible to not get hurt by that attack if you perform Dragon Flame at just the right time. Alright, I checked and managed to defeat him while at it. Out of five times he did that attack, I only managed to pull it off once. Last edited by Vapor Dosh ; 15 Apr, am. You probably also didn't spend most of Blackbean's second phase running away from him. Extra boss doesn't count.

Doesn't the bonus boss count as a level? I'm getting mixed messages on the bonus dungeon thing, but basically to get the good end I have to at least clear all the story dungeons, then? Also, does it have to be highest rank? I don't think rank matters. Optional boss level doesn't count, because it doesn't give you an item to return to the village which is what actually matters - you have to return everyone's stuff. Not finishing all levels before you beat the final boss is no biggie, you can always reload your last save.

I'm pretty sure I finished all the non-boss levels, returned everyone's stuff, and then beat the final boss, and still only got the OK ending. Then I went and beat the bonus boss, then beat the final boss, and got the best ending. Tal View Profile View Posts.

To be clear, there aren't any significant alternate cut scenes for different endings, just more added on based on your progress. So you see the same scenes between the boss and monster town on all endings, and which side of town you're forced to exit and what happens after differs.

Any unhappy monsters: 'Exit' blocked, leave to 'Town' and Pino runs off with you there, fade to credits. Gives an intentional "unresolved" feel. Sort of. There's a final short scene after this when you fully complete Happy mode which implies this is the "real" end Popon mentions as how you unlock her where Parin is asleep in her bed and some of the monsters leer creepily at her through her window.

Bonus boss is messed up matters for achievements, but it's always played the second end when I went for the 'S' achievements. Only saw the non-end once, when I intentionally left one level at 'Clear' to see what happens.

My save file has S-ranked or higher all levels except one or two. I did get all the furniture returned. From what I recall, beating the normal final boss but not the bonus boss, with what I have, activated the "unresolved" ending.

Beating the bonus boss got me the "resolved" ending, despite my not S-ranking all the levels. Most Recent. Click here to learn more about Steam Guides.
