Origin update you must be logged in as an administrator




















Could this be a TrustedInstaller Security issue? If it is, is there a way to fix the TrustedInstaller or to disable it? My initial thought is "no". However, this software is listed on the Microsoft site as being compatible with Windows 7.

So this is an application that is 3rd party that is accepted by Microsoft. Wow I am confused. Not sure what to do here. If so, then we know that UAC is what is causing the problem with the installation.

Their software has become so complex, and customer support has been reduced to asking questions from outsourced "experts" who don't even have a handle on what user-friendly, simple solution would work for the average user.

It's like they expect us all to be able to recompile our own kernel before we can understand the answers they provide - that is, when they're not totally wrong or unrelated to the original question. I have the same problem. No answer here is useful to me.

I don't give a rat's south about inheritance or permissions; all I know is this is my computer, there's only one account, I'm the administrator, and I should be able to access, move, rename, or delete any file I want to without all this hassle.

There are two programs with the same issue of not being able to acces user profiles to delete them, Thunderbird is installed but will not work as comes up with missing profiles.

I had tried the go to start type run then gpedit. Solved,,, well haven't moved onto the other program,,, but at least in the case of thunderbird type into bottom left of screen Monday, January 14, AM. It would be really nice if microsoft supplied a means to turn off all of this permissions crap!
